Hi, and welcome to Hinksey Labs, Ltd.! We know that sometimes plans change, so we’ve created this refund policy to make things as clear and transparent as possible. Below, you’ll find all the details about when refunds may apply and how they’re processed. Please take a moment to read it through so you’re familiar with your options.

1. About Us
Hinksey Labs, Ltd. ("we," "us," "our") is a company incorporated in the United Kingdom, passionate about empowering exceptional high school students around the world. Our mission is to provide a rigorous programme that blends university-level research with practical applications. By combining mentorship from leading academics and industry experts in social impact, business, and entrepreneurship, we guide students to explore global challenges and create innovative solutions. 2. Payment Terms
A. Application Fee:
— The application fee helps us process your application and is non-refundable.
B. Programme Fees:
— Full payment for the programme must be completed by the deadline in your admission letter. If payment isn’t made on time, we may need to cancel your enrolment, which we’d hate to do!
C. Scholarships:
If you’ve been awarded a scholarship, the programme fee will be reduced by the scholarship amount as outlined in your scholarship offer. Please remember that scholarships can’t be transferred, redeemed for cash, or applied retroactively, and any remaining balance is due by the payment deadline.
D. Promotions and Discounts:
We may offer promotions, discounts, or special offers at our discretion. These are non-transferable, may change or end without notice, and cannot be combined unless stated. Offers apply only to new payments during the promotional period, are not retroactive, and may vary by region, time, or user group with additional terms.

3. Programme Fee Refunds
A. 14-Day Full Refund (Cooling-Off Period):
We offer a full refund of the programme fee if you cancel your enrolment within 14 calendar days of making your payment.
B. First Session Full Refund:
If you attend the first session and decide it’s not the right fit for you, no problem! You’re eligible for a full refund of the programme fee, less a 5% administrative fee, as long as you withdraw before the second session begins. This refund is only available during the week between the first and second sessions of the programme.
C. Second Session Partial Refund:
If you have attended both the first and second sessions but wish to withdraw before the third session begins, you will be eligible for a 75% refund of the programme fee. This refund is available only during the week between the second and third sessions of the programme.

4. Additional Refund Conditions
A. Refund Processing Timeline:
Once a refund is approved, we’ll process it within 14 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless we agree on an alternative.
B. Administrative Fees for Refunds:
As mentioned in clause 3, to help cover processing costs, refunds may be subject to a 5% administrative fee. This does not apply to refunds requested during the 14-day cooling-off period.
C. Transfer of Enrolment:
If you’d like to defer your enrolment to a future cohort or transfer to another programme, refunds won’t typically apply. However, we’re happy to consider alternative arrangements at our discretion—just let us know!
D. Misconduct Clause:
We value a respectful and collaborative environment. If a participant is removed from the programme for misconduct, such as academic dishonesty or disruptive behaviour, they will not be eligible for a refund.
E. No Guarantee of Outcomes:
Refunds can’t be granted for dissatisfaction with programme outcomes, such as skills gained, assignments completed, university admissions, employment opportunities, or business success. These outcomes depend on your individual effort, participation, and external factors beyond our control.
F. Refund Waiver for Delivery:
Once the conditions outlined in Clause 3 no longer apply, refunds won’t be granted under any circumstances, regardless of attendance or participation, unless specifically stated otherwise.
G. Programme Cancellation by Us:
We reserve the right to cancel a programme as long as participants are informed at least two weeks before the scheduled start date. In such cases, affected participants will receive a full refund of their programme fees, unless they choose to transfer to another group or cohort—in which case, their payment will be treated under the same terms and policies as payment for new programme enrolment.

5. Exceptional Circumstances
If you experience extenuating circumstances (e.g., a medical emergency), please let us know. Refund requests in these cases will be reviewed individually at our discretion, and we may ask for supporting documents, such as a medical certificate or hospital record, to process your request.

6. Dispute Escalation
If you’re unhappy with our refund decision, you’re welcome to submit an appeal in writing within 14 calendar days of receiving the decision. Our management team will carefully review your appeal and provide a final decision within 14 business days. If you still feel the issue isn’t resolved, you may pursue dispute resolution as outlined in our Terms of Service.
